Move4Change 2026 Success
On Saturday 12th September, a wonderful group of supporters, locals and Crosslight team members took to the riverbank paths between Hammersmith and Chiswick in support of Crosslight’s work in Hammersmith & Fulham.
This bubbly and joyful group kindly gave their time on a weekend to walk 10km, raising awareness of Crosslight's work to lift people out of poverty and help them build a better future in the local area.
Stories were shared, laughs were plentiful and a cream team was savoured. All in all, it was a fabulous day and we hope that everyone who attended enjoyed themselves!
Angelita, an attendee and supporter, shared “I had an amazing time taking part in the Move4Change walk along the River Thames. We were blessed with beautiful weather and surrounded by lovely people. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish!”
This year also marked our most successful Move4Change to date with an astounding £27,689.23 raised through our Aviva crowdfunder fundraising page, donations on the day and some very kind individual donations.
We are blown away by this fantastic support which will help people like Emma, a client who recently received support from Crosslight… “I was on the verge of eviction and terribly in debt. I was scared had panic attacks and my mental health was on fire. Since dealing with Crosslight, even after my 1st meeting, I felt a sense of relief. I felt I was being listened to and wasn’t made to feel uncomfortable. I can’t thank Crosslight enough for how I feel today. [Crosslight] helped me by explaining everything to help my debts [and] sorting out my finances... My situation has become happier and [it is now] more affordable [for me] to live.”
Judy, who has helped plan and run Move4Change for a number of years, is incredibly happy with how this year’s event went; “Move4Change is always a joyous day with people getting together, enjoying each other’s company and walking. This year the Great River Race was a spectacle to enjoy on the way. A thoroughly lovely event raising much needed funds for such a great cause and with Aviva behind us we were so lucky raising so much more money. Thank you to Aviva and to all who donated and took part.” We would also like to thank Judy for her continued commitment to and support of Move4Change and Crosslight’s work in Hammersmith & Fulham - we could not do it without her and her colleagues at our Hammersmith branch.
